5 things you should know about sagging breasts

The good figure of a woman and the common ideal of beauty include tight and firm breasts. However, sagging breasts often put a spanner in the works of a good figure. But how do sagging breasts develop, what can be done about them and when is surgery necessary? I will answer these questions in the following article.

1. How does a sagging breast develop?

The reasons for sagging breasts are the natural aging process, hereditary weak connective tissue, weight loss and pregnancy. If the connective tissue has been stressed too much or gives way too quickly, the breast often starts to sag. Very large breasts, however, already sag due to their weight.

2. At what point are sagging breasts considered sagging breasts?

TSagging breasts are divided into several degrees. A sagging breast (mastoptosis) is when the nipple is below the breast fold.

Grade 1: The nipples are above the breast crease.
Grade 2: The nipples are at the level of the inframammary fold.
Grade 3: The nipples are 1–3 cm below the breast crease.
Grade 4: The nipples are more than 3 cm below the breast crease.

3. What can you do about a sagging breast?

The degree of sagging influences which measures can be taken for a sagging breast. However, once the stage is reached where the nipples are at the level of the breast fold, conservative measures are no longer sufficient. A personal consultation will give you information about the possibilities and the specialist will make a diagnosis, which will form the basis for further action.

Treatment without surgery: A slightly sagging breast can be combated by a high level of exercise, oils and creams containing vitamin E, and alternating showers. In addition, it helps to avoid alcohol and cigarettes. Targeted muscle training is equally effective, but be careful not to lose too much weight, as this will cause the breast to sag further.

Treatment with surgery: If the diagnosis is above grade 1, only measures involving surgery are effective. In the case of less pronounced sagging, breast augmentation using autologous fat may be advisable. A more pronounced sagging, on the other hand, requires breast augmentation using implants, as well as breast lift and breast reduction for breasts that are too large.

4. How much does it cost to lift your breast?

Clinical and laboratory studies have confirmed that silicone has no negative effects on the human body. The cost of a breast lift depends on the method you choose and your personal wishes. Do you only want a breast lift or do you want fuller breasts? Any asymmetries can also be corrected and it is possible to correct nipples. All this plays a role in the creation of your individual cost plan.

5. At what point should you decide to have surgery?

Sagging breasts can affect many areas of life: from sports and clothing choices to relationships and social activities. Often a sagging breast leads to psychological suffering, which is why surgery is often the last option for beautifying a sagging breast and thus gaining a new quality of life. Women also decide to have sagging breasts surgically corrected for purely aesthetic reasons.
