What makes eyes attractive?
But then it happened to me: our eyes met and we knew that was it. His eyes were simply stunning. Years later, I still remember that one magical moment. And even years later, I still deal with the question: What makes eyes attractive? And you may be preoccupied with the question, what happened to my encounter in the bar? Read on and you will find out both.

The structure of the orbit
It’s hard to look at someone without first noticing their eyes. While there are many important facial features that make a person attractive, the eyes are especially important when it comes to judging a person’s true beauty. It can be difficult to figure out exactly what makes the eyes attractive.
The structure of the eye sockets, also known as the bones around the eye, is directly related to the attractiveness of the eyes. An eye socket with greater height and width is perceived as more attractive than a smaller or thinner eye socket. This bone structure also provides a lot of support for the eyes, so our face is better protected from danger.
Interpupillary distance
When our eyes are wide when viewed horizontally, they are perceived as more attractive. This is true for men and women and for all face types. This width is called the palpebral fissure length, and the longer it is, the more attractive the eyes become. A good rule of thumb is that attractive eyes should be wider than they are high. One of the main reasons why someone should consider an upper eyelid lift is an irregular width to height ratio, as well as drooping eyelids and sagging skin.
Shape and appearance of the eyelid
Speaking of drooping eyelids and sagging skin around the eyes. This also plays a big role in the attractiveness of this important organ. The shape and structure of our eyelids can determine the shape of the eyes as a whole.
When the inner curvature of the eyelids swings downward, it is called a downward medial canthus. When both sides of our eyelids swing downward, it can be a sign of attractiveness. However, it is important to know that a droopy or drooping eyelid looks unattractive. These imbalances can be corrected through various cosmetic procedures. They can help increase your attractiveness and boost your self-confidence from the inside out.
Eye circles
In the lower eyelids, the “tired” appearance of the eyelids is generally due to dark circles. The appearance usually goes hand in hand with bags under the eyes and in the tear troughs. These are highlighted by the appearance of underlying hollows due to the resorption of periorbital fat and bone.
The first step to combat this tired appearance is to fill the tear trough with deep hyaluronic acid injections. The injections need to be deep, as this is where the physiological volume loss has occurred and where the product needs to support the tissues instead of making them even heavier. If the injections are too superficial, they will interfere with eyelid movement and may block facial expression.
However, if the bags under the eyes are too large, surgery is the only way to correct them. In most cases, the lower eyelid lift is performed through a transconjunctival incision, which is inside the eyelid and therefore not visible. This way I can avoid visible scars and spare the orbicularis muscle.
What about the eyelashes?
Eyelashes can contribute to the attractiveness – or unattractiveness – of eyes. Studies have shown that dark and thick eyelashes are perceived as more attractive than no eyelashes at all. They can frame the eyes beautifully as they sweep across the shape of the eyelids. Long eyelashes can also be perceived as attractive, but the length is not as important as the density of the eyelashes.
The bar
And what has become of my bar acquaintance now? Well… At the moment he is sitting next to me and helps me to write this article. That one night it was love at first sight and a lot has happened since then. What has always remained are his beautiful eyes. Even though I helped a little with an eyelid lift, I can never get enough.
