Thigh lift for slim thighs and tight skin

A thigh lift can remove excess skin and fat from the thighs, tighten thighs, create a firmer outer thigh, and reduce rashes and chafing on the inner thigh from too much skin.

Exercise and diet are essential for overall wellness and health. Unfortunately, sometimes your healthy lifestyle does not improve the condition of your thighs as much as you would like. This is due to insufficient collagen and elastin levels in the skin, a downward shift of fat deposits, and weak muscle fibers of the thighs.

If your skin is very elastic, it may be possible to contour your outer thighs and inner thighs with liposuction only. If the problem also involves excessive skin, skin excision is necessary.

For a thigh lift, I make the incision in the inner thighs, well hidden in the groin and buttock creases. For an outer thigh lift, I make the incision from the hip bone to the upper buttock crease. Through these incisions, sagging skin is tightened and excess fat is removed. This improves the shape of not only the outer thighs but also the buttocks. The appearance of cellulite can also be improved.

Usually, the length of the incision is determined by the amount of excess skin that needs to be removed.

In patients with good skin tightnessand minimal excess skin, liposuction alone can be used to reshape the thigh. Liposuction is performed through very small incisions that are well hidden in the groin.

Thigh lift takes about 2 -3 hours and is performed under sedation or general anesthesia. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis. Post-operatively, our nursing team will take care of you in your private patient room.

The scars after liposuction are discreet, the recovery is fast and the results are very amazing. Liposuction alone will remove excess fat, but cannot correct stretch marks or sagging skin. In these cases, thigh lift may be the best option for you. However, when we perform a thigh lift, we often combine liposuction with this procedure.

Immediately after the leg lift and then for the following six weeks, you will need to wear a custom Lycra compression garment to reduce swelling and bruising and aid in healing. You will be able to return to work after approximately 14 days. It may be difficult for you to sit during your initial recovery, and you may be more comfortable standing up or lying down. You can resume light activities after two weeks If you have young children, you should have help with daily tasks.

The fat cells removed by liposuction or thigh lift are permanently removed from your body. Although the results of the surgery are immediate, once the swelling subsides, you will see more defined thighs. Tissue retraction, definition and contouring will continue to improve for a year. The change in your contour should be long-term, but weight change, pregnancy, and natural aging can change your appearance after the fact.

Gravity, aging and weight fluctuations can negatively affect your results. Lead a healthy lifestyle to maintain your results. As a rule, most of my patients do not need a second thigh lift.
